E-locker question

I've read about the safety 4lo disable on the e-locker, and I think I'll probably do that, but I'm wondering if the 5mph disable will actually unlock the locker, or if it will just prevent it from locking - does that make sense? In other words, if I'm going 6mph with the rear locked, will the safety mechanism unlock it?
Sorry if it's a totally n00b question, but I've only had my 4runner a few weeks now, and I'm just trying to get to know it.

It just won't engage if your going faster than 5mph, if u lock it going slower it will stay engaged till you slow back down and push the button again.

nope...5mph or slower is the window in which you can lock/unlock. once its in either stage, you can mash the throttle to your hearts content.
