dumb question... random switch?

i have a 93 pickup, and there is a small stainless switch by the hood release in the cab. youd actually have to look for it, because its kind of hidden. but for the life of me, i cant figure out what it is? any ideas?

Red face

It is the switch that triggers the doomsday device.

If you have moved it lets hope there is a long countdown till the sun goes Nova!!

Who knows what some owner in the past may have installed.

It is hooked up to anything???

Could be almost anything

that doesnt sound like something from the factory. I would try tracing the wires. It might be some fog lights or something.

Kill Switch maybe. Does the truck start in both positions?

It's the special "GO FAST" switch which makes the truck run 150 mph and get 200 mpg.

FCS(Flux Capacitor Switch). It turns on/off the time travel circuit(when vehicle speed is ≥ 88 mph).

you need lots of room ... and a hill but I got my 85 on 36in bias ply iroks to 102mph on the gps it was shaking like all hell like re entering the earths atmosphere. It could have gone faster but i was already turning a good amount of rpms my girlfriend was yelling at me to slow down, but people sure do get outta the fast lane when they saw me coming down the pass at that speed.

A Yota with anything less than a veezy maybe...my '90 is pretty comfortable at 90mph/3500rpms, and 100mph/3800rpms is very doable. Only on the interstate of course.

Ah the power of gravity. The fastest I've been in my '90 was about 120mph/3900rpms on a LONG downhill stretch (still had the A340 then, taller OD gear). Now, I have 33s but with even with the stock 31s the rpms would have still only been about 4200. Why would Toyota gear it so tall when the truck can't even go that fast on flat ground? And who would want to go that fast in a Toyota? I sure as hell never want to go that fast in my truck again lol.
