Drivers Side Sags? [Pics]
I bought an 87 4x4 pickup about 2 months ago, I've been fixing it up, just replacing old/faded parts to sharpen it's looks a bit, tail/headlights,blinkers, grill stuff like that.. got to admiring it and noticed the Left Side being lower that the Right.. broke out the tape measure and measured from edge of wheel well to the top of the rim, this is what I got.
(L/B) 11"... (L/F) 11 3/4"...(R/B) 12 3/4"...(R/F) 13"... Now, I dont know a whole lot about this kinda stuff but have been tryin to learn more reading up on this site for a few hours each day.. will a "Zuk Mod" fix my problem for the rear?.. or will it still be uneven..should I just replace the Drivers Side leaf spring & throw some new shocks on? Maybe adjust torsion bar for the front? Let me know what ya'll think is wrong with it and how I can go about level'n er out.

with the measurements you took, sounds like the problem is your driver's side leaf spring, and that' it's 2" lower than the other side - which is also contributing the the opposite corner being higher (front passenger). if you're replacing leaf springs, you should do it in pairs ideally. i'm doubting a ZUK mod will help since the coils assist the leafs - and they would be assisting unevenly since the two sides are so different. You could try it first though if you have access to some cheap coils.
cheapest fix would be some used leafs - which will most likely be saggy and most likely only like $20. you could improve the pack by adding more leafs though to get more height. you could ZUK the new used leafs or even add airbags, add-a-leaf, longer shackles, etc etc. For a true fix, your best option is new leaf springs. They will run around $300+

Ok, That sounds right, looking at the right leaf spring it does look newer than the left, like it's been replaced not to long ago, and is not near as flattened out at the other side. I'll definitely go with a new leafs, it's pricey, but I'd rather do it up right since I plan on keeping this truck for a looong time..lol... Thanks for the help!

yeah, if you're keeping it for a long time then a $300 investment really isn't that much - especially if it keeps your rear from sagging and gives you more load capacity so you're not riding bump stops anymore with only 200lbs in the bed, lol. now might also be a good time to replace worn out shocks to pair the new leafs.
keep in mind that there aren't too many options for stock height leafs anymore - pretty much all lift leafs from 2"-6" or so -- could be the reason you're 2" higher on one side. Since you have IFS, leveling the front to match a 2" leaf pack would be a BJ spacer and minor t-bar adjustment. If you go higher than 2" and into the 3" range up front you will have to do either a bracket lift or IFS diff drop to keep your CV angles happy - plus the ride will be super stiff from loading up the t-bars unless you have a winch.

lol.. all it would take is to have my two 100lb Labradors in the back to bottom out..I was looking into shocks before I even noticed the sag, was thinking on picking up some Bil-stein 4600 for the front and back, and won't go any bigger than 2" Leafs.. I've been searching for the best ones to buy but can't make up my mind.. any suggestions on a good brand of leafs? have been reading pretty good things about O.M.E

OMEs are pretty good. Word of warning though...They definitely end up being more than 2 inches in the rear. I have OMEs in the rear with BJ spacers and the t bar adjusted slightly. It still sits asolid inch or so higher in the rear. I plan to buy a bracket lift eventually and drop the tbars back to stock angle eventually.

Which OME leafs did you get and are you running stock shackle length? I have the mediums and they gave me 2" after fully broken in just like the specs claimed. I hauled several loads of landscape materials and drove a curvy road to break mine in faster. I know the HD ones are like 3" lift and stay stiff because really intended for fully loaded rig. I chose OME because of their good reputation for parts across all brands and because they are reviewed to not sag after time like many of the other brands might do.

I'm looking forward to the bit of lift they'll give me and dont mind if it's a tad high in the back..They measure 43" eye to eye, I haven't bought them yet but was looking at these here:

that's probably why it's shot, P/O was a pretty big dude, and he kept a big steel dog box in the back all the time, used the truck for coon dog huntin.
My shackles are stock I'm pretty sure, they're 3 1/2" between the bolts
