Different keys for ignition and doors?

Hey guys, total newb question here.

Ive been daily driving my 93 pickup sr5 for a few months now. When I bought it the previous owner said there was a problem with the locking mechanism on the drivers side door. Now that I have finally gotten into it I feel like it just requires a different key than the ignition key. Is this true?

It might if any of the lock cylinders were changed.

One key should work all the locks that was how it worked when new.

Quite easy for a Lock Smith to rekey all the locks to one key or the other

Maybe fix the drivers door cylinder as well

My keys are different also because some idiot tried to steel my truck and buggered up the ignition and I had to replace it, normally they should be the same. Try squirting a little graphite in the lock. also be careful who you buy from here I got ripped off the first time I did by some guy named Erick561
