Hello all, I am new here and would like to start off by asking a kind of newbie question about the stubb sliders from stubbswelding. I would like to know if there is any aesthetic difference between the two sliders. For example, are the deluxe any thicker round or protrude out any further? Also, does attachment of the sliders to my 99 SR5 involve welding or any difficult installation tasks? Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it!

NOt sure if the round tube is bigger or not. I would give him a call or email him. He is super nice and very helpful. I have a set of the Deluxe SKO's sitting in my garage waiting to be installed and they are very nice. He will build them how you want them.

 

I have his Deluxe sliders. The diff is that the main tube and outriggers are square stock instead of the standard round stock like the outer tubes.





Not sure if he does it on all of them but mine had diamond plate stock on the ends of the main tubes. Just a cool detail.

Outstanding quality from Richard and one of the most professional guys I have dealt with. You will be very happy with his stuff!

 

One thing I would suggest to you is that if you plan on doing a body lift at any point I would do it before you mount your sliders. That way you don't have to cut them off and reweld them on like so many of have done. These rigs grow out of control and many of us rework our junk a lot because of poor planning. NOt that it isn't fun also but it would safe time and money.

Thank you all for your replies. I will go ahead and email Richard and ask for his opinion. I'm guessing however, that I will have to do some welding to get them into place? Haha, uh oh. I might have to try to find someone to help me out with that.
