Diff drain plug removal when stripped?

One of my friends recently bought a 90 4x4 pickup, and I was helping him get the fluids changed out. The front diff fill plug came out fine, but the drain plug won't come out. It turns, but won't back out. Feels like someone overtightened it in the past, and stripped the threads on the plug. Any good ideas for getting it out?

Easy out. Weld something to it. Air chisel.

Dynamite. Telekinesis.

The head of the plug isn't stripped...it turns fine, and has all of the shoulders on the head. The plug just turns like the threads closest to the head aren't there to start backing it out.

hmm tough call, you could just suction out the old fluid from the fill hole?

So obviously you are going to have to pull and twist. Otherwise pull the diff and push.

Yeah pull and twist. You can still weld someting to it to accomplish this. Something like a 'T' handle maybe.
