dash board and guages swap?

anyone know if a dash with all the rpm gagues and stuff will direct swap over to a truck with out? i think my model is a DX and want to ad the SR5 (maybe?) dash and cluster.

if not, i'll have to get an after market rpm guage.

You have to look at a few things. You have to know if your speedometer is cable driven or electronic driven and try to get one out of an sr5 with the same engine as yours as I know you can adjust the 4cyl to work with a 6cyl but i think its alot easier to jsut get one from a 6cyl. And from what I have read its a pretty basic swap and while you are doing that you should change all the instrument bulbs with new ones aswell while you have it off. Im doing this swap once I find an sr5 gauge cluster aswell.

Don't t forget about the mechanical oil pressure sending unit as well. You will need to install one of these from a SR5. The entire things a really easy install! Here's one thread that goes really in depth and another that touches on the tach adjustment. The "search" feature is really going to be you friend in this swap.
