CV joint question

hey...first post here

i recently bought a 94 runner...i noticed it had ripped boots, but for the price i paid i let it slide. it does have a clicking noise when i turn the wheel hard at low speeds especially in reverse so i figured my CVs are shot

since theyre pretty robust, and rather than replace them, ive heard u can just swap half axles (drivers side to passengers side and vice versa)... is this a legit thing to do to get the joints to wear on some fresh surfaces or should i just replace the half axles all together?

thanks in advance

never actually heard of it, sounds like an idea but your just buying urself a few months and alot of hassle to swap em, then when you actually need to replace them you have to do it again, just buy the autozone lifetimes, then you never have to buy em again, in case you brake them n such

I would buy the cheapos, and get some manual hubs. If you get the cheapos, and keep add flanges, you will do this on a yearly basis.
