im tossing ideas arround for converting my 84 single cabb into a 4runner but i wnat to keep the cabb and bed seperate still in order to cut down on body and frame tork but i live on the coast so i still want to be able to seal it up. got any ideas?

 

Just buy a 4Runner and call it good.

 

Well you can do as I did, plus you'd be hafway there! Buy a 4runner shell and hang it over the dead frame. Cut off the rear mounts from the frame and leave the front 4. Then lower body onto frame and bolt up first 4 mounts. Then take cut off frame mounts, bolt them to 4Runenr body, and weld away!

I had to purchase the frame too us I had an extra cab... so I was huntng down brake lines, fuel lines and a drive shaft.
