I went to replace bulb behind a/c control console but when I got there I found out the bulb was broken off in it. My only recourse was to cut wires. Looked for aftermarket sockets but everything too big-very tight place. Was thinking about robbing one from ashtray or putting single led in there. Any other ideas..

 

To bad you never learned how to remove broken bulbs with needle nose pliers .

tail light socket would give some really good light

Replace it with a used one.

 

It wasn't enough to get out, I tried..i salvaged the actual socket but the wire end connectors are unlike any ive seen before.. I run a napa auto store and used all the sources I have here..

 

Let's start with a pic, a year make model would be nice too...

 

I went ahead and robbed the socket from the ashtray and spliced it into the one on the console panel. Had to enlarge hole opening just a little bit but it works now...Now I will go back with a single led on the ashtray...

 

BTW it is a 98 limited...
