Broken transfer case

Broken transfer case
I had a leak on the output shaft and decided to replace the seal. I tried to take the front driveline out , but couldn't get it to turn. The truck was in neutral and so was the transfer case and the hubs unlocked. As I turned the driveline both turned. I'm sure it's my fault for not turning the hubs out after a recent trip. I parked the truck and forgot about it being locked in. Anyway I realized what I had done and turned them out. A week later it started leaking. I'm sure it's more than a seal and need advice. Any thoughts? Thanks ken

could be, but he says "the truck was... the hubs unlocked" ...who knows? lol
i can turn my driveline and i think that with effort it'll turn locked hubs, because it's always already turning the gears and both axles(detroit locker), but that's sfa, and he's ifs.
does ifs have optional locks only at the transfer case and hubs, not the front diff? trying to understand, lol... factory ifs would still be an open diff, right? unloaded on jackstands you might see both locked hubs turning tho?
