Battery Wont Hold Charge- 92 4runner

I have a 92 4runner- recently installed engine that wont hold a charge on the battery (Which is brand new) On the dash when it starts there are a few lights on while it is running......

Rear anti lock Light On
Battery Light On
O/D Off Light On
A/T oil Temp Light On

What do I need to do to make the charging system work? Any suggestions would really help! Thanks Everyone!

Did everything work before the engine swap? If so, you obviously didn't get something hooked up back up right. Did you pay to have the engine installed? If so, make them fix it.

Otherwise get a FSM www.ncttora.com/fsm and start troubleshooting.

Engine is a V6.... not sure if it held battery charge before the engine swap. We bought the truck with a hole in the block but we had a engine to put in it in which my dad put in just last week... all fuses have been checked it just wont hold the charge!

with the engine running take a multimeter and read across the positive and negative posts of the battery.

Tell us what it reads .

We will go from there.

Good luck

do you have a remote amp, or a jerry rigged cb, radio system... those are usually the main problems with stuff like that..

do you have your main wires hooked up correctly

is the alternator hook up clip broke, burnt or just not making a good contact
