Australia 4Runners

I was reading an article about 4runners sent to Australia and here are three items I saw of interest:
A. The Australian 4runners did not have IFS till 1997
B. Toyota made a factory fender flare for the 2nd gen 4runner
C. Toyota made a dash mounted meter cluster for the 2nd gen, similar to the 1st gen.

I have made inquires to Australian Toyota dealers and salvage yards regarding the fender flares and meter cluster, but never received any response.

Anybody have anything to ad to this?

Thanks

As for item 1. I have no idea.
For item 2, Toyota NA did have factory flares for the 2nd gen 4Runners. My old 92 even had them and the rear molded spoiler with the integrated 3rd brake light.
Item 3. I assume you are talking about the inclinometer/alimeter setup. These can be found on the hilux surf and can be easily had on ebay for an average of $100. There are a few members on here that sell those items. CDUFF7 is one of them. https://www.yotatech.com/members/6966.html

from what i know australia didnt get 4 runners at all. its the hilux surf. also they only got 1st and 2nd gen's over there. for B. from time to time you will see the 2nd gen glass flares over here but i think it was a dealer installed option. There are afe board members station in okinawa etc and usually post inclinometes for sale here.

Okay, I'm not sure about anything else but I'm 99% sure that Aussie 4runners (Hilux-Surf) Were IFS from '86 and up. The truck (Hilux) had the solid axle up until fairly recently. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Or ask TWISTY.

I have seen 85-86 4Runners with IFS over here in Aus.

It was the Hilux (Tacoma) that didn't get IFS until 1997.

Hi all sorry for posting on an old thread but i couldn't resist
1.gen ones in Australia i an almost certain there are only 2dr ifs 4runners
2. gen twos we have here are very similar to what you guys have but only 4drs we mostly have 4runners here and some Toyota surfs witch are basicly the same but with some different engines and a much more comfortabe interor
That's where 4runners stop here
as for pickups or Hilux'es as we call them they were all live/solid front axle right up till 97/98 apart from some SR5 exceptions.
and i am pretty sure we have a live axle dual cab Hilux over here witch you guys don't get just put in google images ''LN106 Hilux''
