Any Damage.??

Just found out that someone (who shall remain nameless) drove my '99 4Runner with the parking brake (e-brake) applied for about half a mile.
Can anyone shed any light on any damage this may have caused.?
Took it for a test drive & everything seems to be fine.
Thought I'd ask, just in case.
Thanks in advance to all you Yotatech dudes, this is an outstanding forum.
MADSCOT.

I had someone at work pick up a customers car. Drove with the e-brake on for a good 20 - 30 miles. Those rotors were HOT (blue). I had to replace the shoes and rotors.

Thanks for the welcome drguitarum2005.
I've been a member for a while but Toyotas being what they are, I don't usually have many problems. Yotatech is the first place I try when I do.
Thanks once again,
MADSCOT.

If the rotors were overheated as a result of the "left on e-brake" it MOST definently could have severley warped the rotors, causing heavy pulsation in your brake pedal which would also be felt in your seat when you are on the brakes. If you feel no pulsing in your seat or in your foot when on the brakes then you are just fine......

Needs new shoes but the drum looks fine...

Ah....what I get for letting a woman drive my Yota without knowing a thing about them.....

No offense to women or anything, but if they don't know the yota.....your screwed.......

I should have drove around in her brand new 2006 jeep grand cherokee witht eh ebrake on.....

I dont know about yours but my E-brake only starts to work about 1/2 way out so whats "left on". ie i can pull mine 1/4 the way out, light on on the dash, and i know the shoes arnt touching yet....

lol even with the e-brake pulled all the way up for me....

It's not engaged......

lol there is no pad left...

When they were new though I only had to pull the brake 1/4 of the way and it would be engaged pretty good
