Problem solved. Passed smog

I just smog checked my truck and it fail at idle but passed with flying colors at 2500 rpm. I believe it is running rich at idle and more air would help lean it out with out touching anything else. Maybeeeee? I have a 83 afm that I can bolt in would that give me a significant increase in air flow with out altering the limited computer? Maybeeeee ? I am trying to do this without just ********* the timing to get it to pass. Any thoughts on the afm swap for more air to lean it of just a bit?
Thanks for looking.

Edit

I'm an idiot truck is a 93 pickup 22re 1year old cat back, nwor header.
