Another idiotic question from me.

While removing my Skid Plate the other day for some painting, I found what looks to be a very small, old, decrepit shock thing that is going horizontally.

What is this?

If I were to replace it, what would I use?

Thanks for answers,
Alex

This is what I was thinking.

I have never seen one so small though.. It literally looks like a hydraulic lift for say... the back window of a canopy.

Thanks for that link.

I would like to get one to match my Bilstein Shocks. Do you know if this would be possible?

If its black, skinny, looks like a mini shock its probably the stock one to boot. I just swapped mine out. Its a pain to get the old one out. I took a propane torch to mine to get the bolt on the drivers side to come out.

If you are gonna change yours out and don't have somewhere dry to change it out, let me know, I have a garage you can do it in, complete with propane torch!!!

Start spraying it with PB Blaster now!!!
