I'm assuming that you have the factory IFS still.
I don't know of any kind of block system for our IFS.
You can get some ball joint spacers for the front to give you some lift.
It says in your signature that you alreday have a 5" lift, I'm guessing thats
from a diff drop IFS lift.
And, to answer your other question, add-a-leafs do not expose more frame.

I have seen some sort of "block" spacers that go between the frame and the springs? Is that what you are talking about? I am not a ifs guy. The add a leafs are good though.

 

Yeah they make spring spacers for the rear of 4Runners, but our IFS doesn't
use coils in the front.

 

I put 2" Add-A-Leafs in the rear of my 1993 and cranked on the T-Bars. Sits perfect and does no rub with the 32's. Rides good, looks good and I am happy for the time being.

 

Ball joint spacers are a good option up from for the IFS trucks:

no my suspension is completly stock. my signature says soon to come.. then says the stuff that i want to put on it... but how hard is it to put those add a leafs on

what about the 3 inch add a leaf kits from top gun customz. i think skyjacker makes it... could i crank out the torsion bars to lift it 3incjes in the front to?

 

cranking torsion bars is the worst idea ever IMO. My friend did it and his torsion bars are completely done now so he bought sway a ways and we barley cranked them and got the same ride height as stock bars cranked to the max. I would look around for a used 4 inch drop bracket lift and then get a add a leaf with block in the rear or a whole new leaf pack.

 

so what could i do to lift the front up besides ball joint spacers... i was looking at leveling kits but they dont make them for toyotas older than 95.5

You can easily put 33" tires under the 2" inch add-a-leafs. You will probably need to remove the front mud flaps though if your planning on the 33x12.5's.
I would not recommend the 3" inch springs and cranking the T-bars. Thats way to much for the torsion bars to deal with and the truck will have zero suspension travel. I guess you could add the 3" leafs, ball joint spacers and crank your t-bars about an inch and be ok. Cranking the t-bars two inches significantly reduces travel, but I ride the road more than the trail, and honestly it rides suprisingly well. If you are going to four wheel alot then I would choose the ball joint spacers. Either way, it's a poor mans lift kit. I got my springs from Performance Products.com.

 

i alreday took all the mud flaps off awhike ago. i went to this place that does suspension near my house and they said that ball joint spacers are a bad idea. but i dont know hardly anything about suspension and what not so i dont know. they probably told me that so i id pay tehm $65 dollars an hour to put on a 2inch body lift

You might question the guy at the shop as to what his exact concerns are with the ball joint spacers are. Most likely it is that the shop is not familiar with the product on the IFS Toyota or maybe they have had issues with them on other vehicles or something and are assuming similar issues would be present on the Toyota suspension.

You often run into that sort of situation with front end alignments with the spacers. Some shops will take one look and flat out say they can't even touch the vehicle. But a good shop will just align the front end like normal.
