'99 4runner lift

I am looking at lifting a 99 runner. I have heard about driveability issues when lifting higher than 1.5'' Have also read about using manual hubs to fix those problems. I have been driving on 265-75-16's, which is about the same as 32'' tires on the stock suspension so i dont need much of a lift. I wont ever be running on tires bigger than 33's, but would still like 2-3'' lift on this vehicle. Anyone have any experience or advice?

2-2.5" is fine for the CVs and shouldn't cause any issues and the auto hubs rarely have any problems.
