also you should give more info, like what kind of motor you have?

if your MIL (check engine light) is blinking on and off, you shouldn't be driving it and it needs to go to a shop ASAP. If it's on steady, you can still drive it but it should be diagnosed.

I wouldn't go to autozone personally. Go to a decent repair shop or toyota dealership.

It's free to go to auto zone and get the code pulled. Then you can get an idea of the problem rather that paying $75 + for a shop or Toyota dealer to do it. Then you can get an idea of what a reasonable repair costs if you need to take it to a shop or Toyota stealership

I'm surprised you noticed the check engine light if you've never been observant enough to read the badge on the side of your truck that says TACOMA. Hopefully that was a spelling error! You more than likely have a bad sensor of some sort since it's affecting your mileage. Go get your codes pulled and find out which one it is and replace it.

From now on if you want a problem diagnosed online provide AS MANY details as possible about your truck. The 4cyl and 6cyl are two total different animals. Without that basic info were stabbing in the dark.

Welcome to Yotatech. Don't forget the search button is your friend. This is a very active forum and I'm starting to think there's not a whole lot left out there that we have not talked about many times before.

Calm down, take a breath.

Alright, I think what they were saying is that you basically did not give enough information about your truck. We cannot help it if you don't, we were just trying to find out. 1 toyota was just pointing out some mistakes, nothing to get upset about. And please do not attack other peoples locations; they and probably others may take offense to that.

Now I did not see the original post, but I can assume from others postings you're getting rough running and bad MPG. I have no idea what engine it has, but a shot in the dark is an o2 sensor, it has been known to cause both of your symptoms. Remember the search function up on the bar, use that to search for "o2 sensor replacement", that'll come up with something.

I hope this isn't too late but I encourage you to stay at YT, we have a lot to offer.
