95 runner transfercase

Hello my name is Eric new to the site. I just recently bought a 95 4runner v6 backed with an automatic. I am being told with the automatic that i have to run the transfer case out of an later toy with the four banger. other than it being chain and the other one being geared is there another reason to run the later case? Was also told that i cant dual case it because i wont be able to stop it while its in gear any help will be appreciated thanks.

The v6/auto tranny combo has an integrated transfercase so in order to run a different cas you need a different tranny, also you cannot run dual cases as it is - check out http://www.inchwormgear.com/store/pr...products_id=86

Here is more info on the tranny swap...

Read it again 91 4Runner - that adapter you linked to is exactly what you need to run a gear drive case (or two) behind a preTaco automatic tranny tcase.

TC, I also indicated the following....

Because of this....

copied from inchworm

It allows the use of Inchworm Double Transfer Case Adapters and Geared Cases behind factory automatic transmissions. Clockability allows 10 degrees of rotation for added ground clearance.

This adapter does require a complete tear down of the factory automatic transfer case as well as some small part changing inside the transmission.

That's why I included the link....

Allthough I could have worded it better.... Upon re-reading my original post, it should have went something like this - The A340H has an integrated transfter case, in odrer to run dual cases you'll need http://www.inchwormgear.com/store/pr...products_id=86
or the A340F tranny like http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/autocrawler/
