95 or 95.5 4Runner? Need Quick ID
My girlfriend has a 95 4Runner that needs a new clutch. It's currently parked next to her parents shop and everytime I see the darned thing, it's at night. All I know is that it's a 95 w/ a V6 and 5sp. Is there a quick and easy way to tell whether it's a early or late model 95? I'm litterally in the dark here, and everytime I see it too haha...
Also, while I'm on the subject, are there any clutch replacement write-ups for this thing? Is the clutch replacement the same for all 4cyl and 6cyl models or are there significant differences between the two?
Any help is appreciated.
Mike

There was no 95.5 4Runner.
The changes were for the 96 model year for the 4Runner.
The pickup changed to the Tacoma in 95.5.
But rowdy pretty much got it right - 95 would be a 3.0 3VZE, 96 would be the 3.4 5VZFE

The Toyota dealer asks if it's an early year or mid year manufacture there were changes apparently (one Toyota parts counter guy even used the term 95.5); just look in the door jamb, drivers side for date of manufacture.
