95 4 runner bucking?

I have a 95 4runner v6 4wheel drive. It's been bucking mostly at freeway speeds for a couple months now. Took it to a mechanic who replaced the ignition coil and thought if fix it. It didn't. A couple weeks ago I was on the freeway when the truck stopped accelerating. The rpms and speedometer when to 0 but the engine stayed on. Once I got to the side I tired it off and it wouldn't start again. Took it to the Same mechanic fiddled and then figured out it was the ignition coil. It now starts and drives again but it smells like gass when I start it and it's still bucking. Could it be an issue with the fuel system?

Is the check engine light coming on? Are the connections at the battery and ground wires clean and attached?

Dare I say it, but you've got a hard miss going. Pull the plugs out and look at the condition of them.

Check the plugs and check to see if your throwing any codes.

No lights coming on when it's bucking. The battery's got some gunk I could try that. Thanks for the advice I'll see what I can find. I'm pretty new at this
