94 v6 pcv valve?

How important is it to change the pcv valve? I found mine but it seems real hard to get to. I also noticed my intake hose had melted which left a big hole. I have a problem overheating on the interstate after doing 70 for about 10 minutes. Changed water pump head gasket and thermostat. Radiator bypass hose along the firewall gets hot really fast and i had to change it because it busted. It now burns more gas and has less power. I also did away with cat converter. I hope its a radiator problem and maybe some o2 sensors.

I would check all of the vacuum hoses and change the pcv and check the hose fro that too. And why did you get rid of the cat. That is illegal you know and since you have an O2 sensor before and after cat I believe. That could be your problem.

Your probly running lean or rich without the cat causing you to run hot.
