94 pickup 22re overheated won't start

Noticed steam coming from hood of truck about two miles from home. Up shifted and took it easy the rest of the way home. Start bogging and losin power as I pulled into driveway. Turned of truck and heard coolant boiling. Walked away and let it cool. Came back next day and it won't start. Will turn over but will not start. I am on a busy work scheduale so I won't be able to get to it for a week or so. Any input as to why A) it overheated and B) it now won't start. Would be greatly appreciated
