i am new here just got my 1993 yota pics to come but it dies when i brake, i have searched but have not been able to find please help

 

V6 or 4 cyl? auto or stick?

Vacuum leak?
Electrical issue causing a short when brakes are applied?

 

air conditioner on? Could be the idle up valve

 

one way valve for brake booster or seal between booster and master

 

If your brake booster is bad, you basically have a huge vacuum leak when you hit the brakes.


Try unplugging the booster hose from the manifold and putting a plug on the intake port. Hit the brakes and see if it fixed it. Keep in mind you will NOT have power brakes during this test.
