My truck overheated one night and completely shut off and there was smoke everywhere. I towed it home and the next day i tried to crank it and it just clicks. the engine never attempts to turn over. I know it not a broken timing chain. Other than that I have no idea what it is. PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Get a breaker bar and socket and see if you can turn the crank by hand. Hopefully you didn't lock up the engine, but it sounds like you may have.

 

What does that mean if I did?

 

You get to rebuild/replace the engine! Yay! Exciting, isn't it?!

 

It means the engine is seized, locked up, will not rotate.

It's best to remove the spark plugs first, this way there will be no compression, if there is any.
