92 manual hubs

92 manual hubs

i have a 92 4x4 and its a bitch to turn the hubs. do they just need to be greased or do i need to replace them? if so any good ones to get..

the dial O-ring is probably old and worn out on it

best bet would be to get the seals from a dealership (like $10 per side; not too bad), and rebiuld them yourself

use the search button near the top-right and you can find some info on rebuilding them

and I, as well as everyone esle, will advise you to keep and rebuild your OEM Aisin hubs instead of going out and buying Warn's or something instead...

i have a question, i need to rebuild one of my hubs, to take it off can the tire still be on the ground or does it need to be in the are? thanks Jeff

certainly, you can remove the hubs with the tire still on and the truck's weight on it, it just might be a little more of a pain to work with

I'd probably jack it up before I started messing with the hubs. Personal preference I suppose.
