91 Pickup Auto diff and Trans. ?s
Hi, I have a 91 Yota Pickup with the 3VZE (V6) in it. It has the Aut Diff a.d.d. style 4x4 in it and an automatic transmission. The trans was bad so I had a friend swap it with another auto trans. The donor truck was an 89 with manual hubs in it. I now have no 4 wheel drive in the truck. This vehicle is being driven by my girlfriend to get around in the light snow here in Maryland. What would my best option be?
1. Find another transmission with Auto Diff. Disconnect in the junkyard.
2. Try to convert over to manual lock hubs since I already have trans./t-case for it in the truck.
Also, will a 4Runner transmission work as long as it has the Auto. Diff. in it?
I searched but couldnt get the answer I needed.
Thanks in advance for any/all info.

find another A340H OR A340F I think it's called .....if that's what you have or had in the truck... check the data plate on the drivers side door jamb and the tranny ID tag on the side to be sure.... because the ADD system is a total different set up and works with a chain drive hydraulic transfer case it's really a wild set up.....
