I currently have a 91 pickup i have been working on to eventually get it to the sugar sand trails here in FL. I have ran into the problem of the carrier being messed up so i need to replace the chunk. My truck is a 4cyl and my buddy have a 98 4cyl that we will be straight axleing , will his front end swap over into my truck? from everything i have read in the stickies says no but I didnt know if someone knew if you could change something and make it fit.

ya i figured that i didnt know if anyone knew if you could make it fit by modifications or not

 

look on our classifieds you can find 3rd members easily. also try junk yards and craigslist.

 

ya its just hard to find the stuff down here in south florida

 

what are you in need of?

 

front 3rd member out of a 4cyl, the center shaft pin on my locker broke into 5 pieces and made the carrier expand , almost so much that i couldnt get the carrier out of the housing. Im guessing my best bet is to just go ahead and order a detroit, master install kit, and my gears and put it all back in as new and hope it last.

 

well i have spiders gears for a v6 lol. i have a whole 3rd member but its for the rear lol

 

if i happen to come across a stock chunk a set of 5.29s will boat to the carrier correct?
