I am looking to buy a 91' 4runner. It has 135K, 5 speed, 4X4, 3.0 V6. Some rust and dents. What are a few things I should be looking for and asking questions about when i show up to see it???

I am aware of the chronic head gasket problems these motors have. Is the 3.0 motor garbage?

Same as any other car. Blown head gaskets are a common problem with that engine. But thats mostly really noticeable.

 

yeah just check it out really good. and decide what you plan on doing with it . like is it going to be a dd or are you going to wheel it too.
