So I just picked up a 88 V6 4x4 pickup for only 200 bucks. The guy I got it from said the only problem was the fuel pump was out and he was just to lazy to change it plus his wife wanted him to get it out the yard so I got it for cheap. So I just finished changing the fuel pump and went to start it and I could hear it trying to start and finally it did but it sputtered out so I tried again and this time it ran for bout 5 secs and made some noise and stopped.
So I tried it again and for some reason it sounded different and it wouldnt even try to start this go again so my buddy looked and said he thinks my timing belt broke. Reason he said this was cause the truck sat for at least 8 years to my knowledge if not more so what are yalls opinions on what it could be?
