88 4runner fan pully problem

88 4runner fan pully problem

The top pully {fan } on 1988 runner won't turn. The engine will operate, but the fan and pully stay still. Any help will be great. Merry X-mas

V6 or 4cyl?

If its a 4cyl and its the pulley that the fan/fan clutch assm bolts to, thats your water pump. May have locked it up.

If its a 6cyl... dunno.

IF its a V6, your fan support is locked up. Search around for the V6 fan support. Many threads on here about it.
