86 4Runner


Finally decided to make a profile always use this to work on mines tutorials and all that,only picture I have of it rite now take some more tomorrow it’s all rhino lined black on 35’s just put a roof rack on it today and also put a newer dash from a Newer Toyota pickup today have a lot more things I’m gonna be doin to it and will post more pics of what I’ve done pretty much went thru and replaced everything on it even the fuel injectors because one went bad on me so changed all of them but it’s all stock and I have tht good ol 22re in it I have basic mechanic experience and I’ve learned a lot on this truck and need to keep learning,just the other day I got it running all good so I drove it to my boys house but on the way there it turned off on me when I put it in neutral at the incoming red light didn’t wanna start so I pushed it To the side of the road and couldn’t think of what it can be everything is pretty much new in truck So whatever kept trying to turn it on and boom it starts get to my boys house then like 2hrs later I get ready to leave warm up my truck then it turns off I start it again Let it for Run for 20min Didn’t turn off drove it home This morning I’m goin to move it to the drive way so I can install the rack and change the dash out didn’t wanna start kept trying after like the tenth time it turned on parked it towards the afternoon finished up was gonna move it and didn’t wanna start at all my pops helps me out making sure it was getting power and all tht checked if it was gettin fuel Everything was good kept trynna to turn on it pops says stop gas is coming out find out it’s coming out the upper manifold to where the exhaust connects to anybody ever heard of this or had this problem can’t figure it out thought it was a hose or something and nope don’t kno what it is pops said he’s never seen gas come out like tht from there please and thanks

Fuel out of the exhaust manifold? Maybe try unplugging the cold start injector and see if that helps, they tend to stay on and flood the engine

Thanks and sorry about tht first half is pretty much me introducing myself 2nd half is a story explaining what happened to me in my truck and why it is not starting pretty much doesn’t want to start everything’s new on truck & gas started leaking outta of upper intake manifold never seen this before and this isn’t allowing my truck to start

Yea thanks just read about tht last night just didn’t really understand It So just disconnect the cold fuel injector leave the electrical connected to it still and try to start it ? Is there suppose to be gas coming out of the cold fuel injector Or how will I kno if it’s good or not ? Really appreciate it
