I hear Compression fudge is better than commission fudge
THe comment by gigatech88 above about having the other 3 spark plugs in, I believe is a reference to a possible HG leak within...if your valves are fine, but you're leaking air, it could be leaking from one cylinder to another and dropping compression .

Thanks. I've been drinKing all day. Couldn't figure out how to get it from my brain to the keyboard. Stupid brain. And why are they called fingers? I never see them fing.

chain was broke
Just tearing into my 22r for the same thing. Only difference is mine started and ran for a second or two, then I heard it pop, before it died and wouldn't start. Pulled distributer cap and rotor wasn't spinning.
When I first pulled the valve cover to access the chain, it appeared to be intact but loose. The cam stopped turning with at least 1 valve open on each cylinder. As I was turning the cam to Top Dead Center ( rotor to #1 spark plug), the broken end of the chain became visible.
I put this one in about 4 years/25,000 miles ago. ONLY USE ToYOTa chains from now on.

No coolant. Did it get smoking hot at anypoint? 0 compression on all 4 is really really weird. How could of even run the last time it ran with that low?
My only hypothesis is you got it red freaking hot and galded the rings at one time. Or possibly severly cracked head.
I want to say the compression test was done wrong...but you used two diff gauges.
Take her apart. We must know. Also...tell the truth. You run the piss out of it?

That's what happened for my truck when the engine went all wacky. The timing chain broke its sprockets, jumped time, and bent all 4 intake valves, giving 0's for compression all the way across. Based on my experience, I'd tell you to pull the head and get a good look at the top of the pistons and leading edge of the intake valves.
