85 truck or 89 runner?
So I have an 85 4x4 with a non running 22re. My plans were to build it out, 4 links, coil overs, rebuilt engine, cage, lockers, etc...
Yesterday, I fell into a deal on an 89 runner SR5 V6 for 1800 bucks. There is a little more rust on this one than my truck, but it runs strong with a little miss once in a while (still got to figure that one out.
Anyways, now I am torn. I am sure that I want the straight axel on the 85, but I want the engine from the runner.
So do I use the parts from the truck and do a SAS on the runner, or swap the engine from the runner to the truck?
I like the idea of having the enclosed rear on the runner, but I also like the flexibility of the the truck. Which would you do?

I'd definately keep the truck for everything. As far as the motors are concerned, the v6 is a reliable engine, just not as reliable as, IMO, the most reliable engine ever built, the 22re. The pros and cons here obvious, more power/less mpgs with the 6, and opposite with the 22r. Its a matter of preference, really.
