I have a 88 pickup 22re and I was wondering if I pick up a 85 pickup are the parts interchangeable? Or do I have to stay with in a certain year range? I'm kinda new to the off road thing any help is better than none also both trucks are 4x4 my 88 has independent front and the 85 has solid axle.

 

If i am correct i believe 85 up are interchangeable except that IFA to SA front suspension. the 22r was reworked at 85.

 

That does help and I was thinkin on switchin to the SA from the IFS

 

88 injectors are specific to that year only, alot of other things will interchange. Just posted this on another post and since I had it handy decided to post here as well to make you aware of it.

 

Thanks another good thing to know but the 85 I'mlooking at is just a shell no engine or trans but complete other that those two

 

Anyone out there know about the front bumper mounts between these 2 years... 85 to an 88???
