5VZFE Valve Cover Gaskets
After 155K miles- one is leaking the other is sweating. I'm thinking of doing this myself. Easy job? Where should I order these- yota dealer?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The gaskets you get at the dealer will last you longer, make sure you also get a tube of FIPG and reseal the half moon shaped cam caps at the back of the valve cover. You'll also need a set of intake gaskets for the plenum, because that has to come off.
And don't overtorque them when you put them back on. ESPECIALLY the bolts on the corners, those valve covers will crack very, very easily. And good luck trying to find a valve cover in a junkyard, they're pretty much all cracked too.

That should help you figure out whether or not you can do it yourself.

Thanks a million guys- the photo thread is great. I think I can manage it, the truck is now my backup vehicle but it's still my baby and I can take my time and do it right. I'm looking forward to it.
