5 speed side load transmission

5 speed side load transmission

I need to know what years are covered for a 5 speed side load toyota pickup transmission.

I have a toyota transmission with a side load shifter vs. the top load like my 83 pickup does.. So what the heck does this thing belong to?? I need some kind of time frame as far as what years it covers... ANY IDEAS???

Just an FYI the only "side shift" is the automatic, all others are considered top or forward shift.

Even though they might have linkages on the side, in the 4x4wire link I gave you you are going to see them say only top and forward shift transfer cases. Sorry for the confusion.

I can't help ya directly as I don't know the earlier transmissions all that well.
If I were in your position those two links should have everything you need to know.

Trying to sell trans,t-case front driveline complete assembly but kind of hard to do when you dont rember what it came out of.. Grrr.. Too many pulled parts at once from too many trucks Thanks again for the help.

Negative Ghostrider...L43 4 speed is a side shift

Yeah I thought about that when I posted it and went looking for the Marlin site link, because I knew at least one had that side shift linkage. Because I thought 4x4wire's would confuse him when they say top, forward and then see side shift listed on the a340's.
