I paid $1700 for mine but it had $1000 worth of new tires on it and some cool performance and utility upgrades.

I bought mine with 34x9.50R15 super swamper tsl's
3" body lift.
But the motor had about 190,000 miles on it, and she burned a little oil...
But it wasn't half bad for my first truck

But when i bought my 94.
I bought it with a 4" rough country suspension lift,
Brand new 22re engine, it had 700 miles on it (Not 7,000...the engine actually had 700 miles on it) when i drove it out of the guys yard,
Since then...
Ive had the front end and rear end rebuilt with new 4.11 gears and new bearings,
Im going to be putting a new transmission in in the next 2 weeeks.
and ive done some minor body work.
All in all i bought this truck for 2,750
Dude got his girlfriend pregnant and needed money baaaaaaad.

That may not be true, it depends on the area your in and a lot of other things. I paid 1200.00 for my 4Runner and it was a stock basket case, and ive spent a lot of time and money building it up and adding things to it that it didn`t come with, its an on going project that will probably never be finished. Once you learn more about your 4Runner the more you will want to work on it and make it better,

my roommate bought an 89 yota in NY that came from Cali so not rust, paints faded, truck is stock with 200K on it. just had to do timing chain, oil pump, and all that good stuff, before that he paid someone to do a new front main seal, and he bought 5 new tires, so said and done my guess is he put $1500 into it, oh and he paid 2300 for it
(i paid 2200 for mine that needed nothing i just decided to beef it up a bit for $300 and its got a turbo, no rust, new paint, and runs like a top with only 135K)

long story short, i dont think you paid too much at all lol

no you def didnt pay to much. i paid $2300 for my 95 pickup back in oct 07. it was stock with new 31s. 135k miles, new timin chain etc the bumper was so rusty you stick your foot thru it, and you could throw a cat thru the bed. i dont think i paid to much, and you def didnt.

looks like you may have bj spacers or a torsion bar crank up. cuz it doestn look like any body lift. check your upper control arm, if you see a spacer settin on top of the ball joint.... then you got bj spacers

torsion bar was crank up, i already looked underneath the truck and it looked like there was no body lift or whatsoever. although, he replaced the front shocks with something i couldn't quite remember what it was and i remembered him telling me about replacing the shackles. as far as the bj spacer, don't quite know what that is i'll take a look once again see if i have it. i would like to thank you as well for not making me feel robbed lol. now with that being said, what would be the next best move for me? get a body lift? suspension lift? or both?

Def suspension lift, they look better and you'll be happier in the long run.
It'll cost you, but it costs to look good
Like i said, i paid 2750.00 for mine, and thats because i lucked up.
So you didn't get robbed, you got a good lookin truck!
