4wd problems.... any help?

4wd problems.... any help?

when ever i lock my hubs and im engaged into 4wd i hear a ticking sound when i turn. i think its my cv joints. but i dont know the 4wd drive shop is gonna charge me 200 bucks just to look at it. those cheap bastards. can you guys help me? and is it a do it your self job?

Doesn't sound like they're cheap bastards at all... $200 for CV inspection? I'm in the wrong business.

It's not a difficult job, a bit of research on here and you will have all the info you need to get tools lined up and tackle it yourself. You should be somewhat mechanically inclined and not afraid to get dirty though. Good luck!

They wanted $200.00 just to look that should pay to replace them or at least the labor.

No kidding. If they are getting 200 just to look at them Im opening a 4wd shop in my garage and posting ads everywhere starting right now haha
