4WD front wheel bearings

This is for a 2000 4Runner, 4WD, 5 speed.

I've been getting a growl out of the front end that has progressively gotten louder over the last couple of months and believe I have a wheel bearing on its way out. The growl changes as I corner or when hitting any substantial bumps\dips in the road. Figure I might as well go ahead and replace both of them since I believe it has never been done and it's pushing 170K on the chassis.

I have yet to spin any wrenches on this rig other than a complete lube and fluid change when I bought it a few months back, so the front end it completely foreign to me. How labor intensive of a process is it to change the bearings out? I looked briefly through the online FSM and didn't find a procedure or anything. Does anyone have a link or page# for repair info? I planned on going with Timkens...any good\bad things to say about them?
