I am new to this forum and have tried t search all over the internet for some answers , but have had no luck. i have a 86 toyota 2wd x cab long bed that is in very good cond. , i want to convert it to 4wd. I already have my mind set on finding an 86 and up toy 4wd to swap out pretty much everything underneath . With this truck having ifs , are all the frames the same to where everything will come off the 4wd and bolt on the 2wd frame?
i was also wondering about the front grille,bumper, and valance. can i bolt on a 89 or even maybe a 92 g b & v on my 86 . thanks for any help

The frames are completely different.

Unless you are doing a SAS, this isn't really an option. Sell the 2wd and buy a 4WD, or just keep the 2wd and but a 4wd to beat on.

 

ok , that will work. the engine and body could be swapped to a 4wd though , correct ? so maybe if i found one with engine or body issues ? its not an option for me to sell the truck..(other then the fact i love it ) , my grandfather gave it to me . do you know about the bumpers by chance?

The 89 bumper and grill should swap in with some work, it's not a bolt on. It's minor work to get the grill working though.

 

ok , thats what i wanted to hear. i like the newer style bumper and valance alot better. anybody have any good websites to look for bumpers grilles and maybe some taillights? found some on ebay for descent prices thanks!!
