Angry 33's rubbing

Since the last time I posted I had my truck vandalized, someone cut all 4 tires bricked the windshield and shattered the driver side window. After that being said the wife and I have decided to park it and start working on getting it tough trail ready so I will be buying a bunch of parts from here, CL, and ebay. Anyone that runs across a deal that can't be pasted up PM me.

Now to why I started this in the first place I bought so 33x12.5x15 for my truck, and they rub on the a-arms, they a temporary but I need them to last a least till I get the new wheel tire combo. Anyone know the backspacing on the stock rims and what can i do to correct the problem cheap?

you put 33x12.50 on stock rims with no lift? have you researched at all before buying them? you need atleast 3.75 backspacing rims and trimming on the pinch weld to run these with no lift. even then its not safe to wheel with them on. I'd say sell them for some 33x10.50s or 31x10.50s or trade them.

I have a 4 inch lift on a 86 4runner, not the lift I want but it will work to get it on the road for a while. I can't wheel real hard right now because of a CV shaft in the front going bad and making a hell of a lot of noise. I know I need to change the back spacing but I have no idea what stock back spacing is or if its cheaper to buy rims or get spacers

stock backspacing is 4.5" it would probably be about the same price to buy rims or get spacers... steelies will run you about 150.

Well then I have to find me a set of 3.5 or 3.75 back spacing rims or a <1" spacer.

why do you need a spacer? what are your tires rubbing on? the pinch weld, correct?

I can take a pic and post it I think. It's just the very edge of the upper a-arm by the ball joint

a wheel spacer would solve your issue. but 3.75 backspacing rims would do the same without the horror of having a spacer... ( i have wheel spacers on my truck, but not many people trust them, i myself have wheeled them and never had a problem )

I really am only looking to spend like 200 at most. I have some really nice 15X10 steal rims going on when I go to my 65inch axles

I dont know the offset no off the top of my head. but I can find the receipt for you and letcha know. heres a couple pictures.

These were originally my brother's rims, they were on his tacoma, but he had to run wheel spacers with them. he used them until his new rims came in that didn't require wheel spacers and they he handed me the wheel spacers and rims. I already have a set of rims, but I put the wheel spacers on my truck. They were mounted and taken off the Km2s within a couple days, if that.
