3.4 Swap ecu questions
Hello all.
I'm working on a 3.4 swap in my 91 manual 4runner, I got a '99 from a scrap yard, but it was in a auto so I'm now looking a a ecu to run it. My main questions are, would it be best to go with a 99 ecu or a earlier year? I know that the pinning is different in the earlier year ecu's, but that's not a problem I've rerun a lot of auto wiring in the past. My reason for asking if a earlier model would work better is that I've read that post 98 they started using immobilizers and I don't want to spend a lot of money on a useless ecu. Any help or advice would be awesome. Thank you
