Question 3.4 and automatic for heavy towing

Howdy I'm new here and have some questions about my truck! I have a 1997 T100 with under 140,000 miles on it, 3.4 and automatic I believe a towing package too. I'm looking to see what I need to make my automatic last towing a car or two. Bolt ons might be in the future. So with 250 horses at the crank and towing about 7000#s can I make my automatic last? It also threw a code for a shift solenoid but I changed the fluid and fixed that. So I might replace those in the future anyway.

Transmission Cooler and temperature gauge

The temperature gauge to keep an eye on the transmission temp.

A brake control !!

This is if your getting into some serious towing 7000 pounds is quite a lot of weight .

Once or twice for a few miles is different .

Thanks for advice!

What's a brake control? I don't plan on towing both cars more than a couple times. Mostly just one so it sounds like my truck with last awhile mostly towing 3000 pounds on the trailer
