3/16 Wheel spacers

I want to add more stance to my truck since I can only fit 10.50 wide tires without rubbing right now. My school just got a CNC plasma table and I have a 3/16" plate that I was thinking about cutting some wheel spacers out of. My question is if I did this would I even notice a difference? It's only slightly thicker than 1/8" but I know they make 1/4" spacers and those are noticeable. Would it be worth the time to design them and cut them out?

I don't believe it would be with your time.

you could double them and have 3/8' spacers

It would be recommended to get new wheel studs at that point.

Will it make a noticeable difference on the truck? No.
Is it work the time to gain experience on the CNC? Definitely.

If the materials are free, I'd say go for it.

No practical spacers can be thick enough to provide any substantial stancing.
Thick spacers impose stresses on the bearings, spindles, and other parts, that the designers never intended, and promote early failures of these parts.
Spacers only provide wheel offset adjustment so that some non-stock rims may be fitted; that otherwise would not clear the brake or suspension components.
