My 2RZ cast manifold has a diamond shaped patch on the manifold just before the flange which converts it to a 2:1 pipe. There is a hole in the heat shield for it.

Is this for the Oxygen sensor or the EGR tube? Mine has neither but I would like to fit a 4.9LSU here but am a bit concerned that it might get toasted. There are no other factory locations to mount an O2 and this looks like the most convenient place to mount it as it would angle it just right. Has anyone done this before?

Otherwise: What are the EGT's of a NA EFI 2.4 2RZ engine?
