Moved to the Newbie Tech Section.

This topic has been beat to death but we are going to need more information before we can really help you.

What year is it? Any current lift other than cranked t-bars? Can we get pics of your rig? What kind of driving do you do/want to do? Price range?

As far as something equivalent to what you run now I would go with 265/70-17 - they are about 31.6" in diameter.

What Helo wheels are you looking at? As far as the wheel/tire sticking out past the fender that is going to depend on the backspacing/offset of your rim.
Do a search on here for "2nd gen backspacing" and see if you can find some info on what the stock backspacing is - I want to say it was 3.75" but I could definitely be wrong.

Give us some more information to help you and we'll see what we can do.

800 is a good budget for tires - that will allow you to get a pretty decent one.

Like I said, do some searching for the backspacing and see what you can find.
Also, can you post a link of the Helo wheel you're looking at so we can get a better idea of what you're working with?

Sounds to me, based off of your driving habits that an All-Terrain would be perfect for what you're wanting to do.
Personally, if it were me, I would stick with the stock size rim - the tires will be much cheaper and the bigger rims may look kind of silly on it.

Here are the tires I would get - these are sized for the 17" rims.

Here are the same tires sized for the stock size rim.

Either way I would go with the BFG's - I'm a huge fan.
