I have a '91 4Runner I bought that did not come with the chrome bumpers like most. I recently came across another 2nd gen like mine that's either a '93 or '94 I believe. The body is very clean from what I can see (I'm going to take a look at it this evening) but the motor is dead. I can pick the whole rig up for cheap and take whatever I need to from it.

My question is, will the radiator grille and front bumper fit mine? I think they changed the design from mine in '92 and I'm not sure if it will fit. If anyone could give me an answer to this question as well as provide information as to what else I could part out I'd highly appreciate it.

 

It should fit, i think people do that often, because the older 2nd gens have the bumper that is like three pieces (the corners are attached not one piece) and swap it for the newer 2nd gens because it is one piece.

 

They will fit. The black chrome bumpers where mostly offered as a special option or part of a package. Like most vehicles back in the 90's the higher the package level the less chrome. Similar to Ford's Explorer that got chrome on the cheaper package and black plastic on the high end package.

So i would consider yours a gem! cause i would pretty well kill to have those black chrome bumpers on mine.

As for my current bumpers, I am keeping them if I decide to swap them out. I might decide to switch them back again in the future. You never know.
