2nd gen 4runner front end conversion

Has anyone actually done a late 2nd gen to early 2nd gen headlight/grille swap? I know I'll need the whole front grille, bezel, lights, bumper, valance. Will it all just bolt right up?

I also have been wondering the same thing? Has anyone done the swap yet?

Why would you ever want to do something like that? Toyota upgraded the headlights for a reason. You need to change the Grille, Headlights, Side lights, Bumper, Valance, Turn signals, and most importantly the core support which means cutting/drilling/welding. You can't simply bolt it up, the core support is completely different. If you want the square headlights so bad (again, whyyyyy) just trade/sell yours and get a 90-91 4Runner.

I've already done a bunch of mods to mine and I don't wanna build up another one right now.
My 95 runner has ZERO aftermarket applications for headlights i.e. projector, hid, halo, blacked out...etc.
The early years with the 4x6 lamps have a large variety of options.
The front support has 3 spot welds per side, and getting a front clip from a donor shouldn't be too expensive. The conversion should not be a major ordeal. I was just curious if anyone has already done it and if they had any tips/trucks that'll make the swap easier....

It has more than 3 spot welds per side, I take it you have never done body work before?

btw the reason there isn't much aftermarket support is because they already work pretty well. You can upgrade to HID's, though that tends to be $$$. However, for the money to downgrade to 90-91 setup then upgrade to better lights, you can get several HID kits.

The fluted glass in the headlight just make the hids a glare. No, I've done minor body work before. Nothing major.

I don’t think you understand- these headlights may have worked fine 30 years ago but I’ll be ˟˟˟˟ed if they’re worth a ˟˟˟˟ anymore; the only aftermarket headlight options I’ve seen are either not road-legal or they’re over $500
